The "tailor-made" whitener
The whitening skin care market has steadily continued to grow over the past years (industry figures indicate that the whitening segment can amount up to one third of the total Personal Care market in some Asian countries). Today numerous products from daily creams to soaps can be found on shelves, and consumers do not hesitate to use them abundantly with the same aim: to achieve a lighter and more uniform skin tone. Not only do they want a general improvement of the evenness of the complexion but also the reduction of hyperpigmentations such as age spots on sun exposed areas. This market is hence no longer limited to Asian countries, but rather reflects a global need for face but also body care.
The challenge for new skin lighteners is to demonstrate innovative pathways of melanin synthesis inhibition, while ensuring a perfect skin tolerance.
- Whitening activity proven by a clinical study on Asian skin
- High skin tolerance
- Inhibition of key Steps of the melanin synthesis and pigmentation process:.
- Tyrosinase activity in melanocytes and melanosome maturation decrease
- Enables formulations at a wide pH range
For an optimal and safe efficacy on skin whitening
LS has developed ACTIWHITE™ with 4 main targets:
Efficacy: ACTIWHITE™,thanks to the synergistic activity of 2 components, inhibits the formation of melanin allowing to obtain a significant reduction of skin pigmentation.
Innovative mechanism on 2 different levels: ACTIWHITE™ has a differentiating mechanism compared to "traditional" direct tyrosinase inhibitors on the market. Its high capacity to decrease melanogenesis is linked to a decrease of tyrosinase activity in melanocytes and also to an action on maturation of melanosomes via decrease of PMEL17 gene expression.
Safety: ACTIWHITE™ has been developed with components known for their excellent skin tolerance in order to assure a safe long term daily use.
Stable over a large pH range thanks to its neutral chemical behaviour (compatible with AHA and magnesium ascorbyl phosphate).
ACTIWHITE™, a clever mechanism of action for an optimal and safe skin whitening efficacy.
