People

· Development of employees: We recruit, employ and promote employees solely on the basis of their qualifications and abilities to perform their duties. We aim to work together with each individual employee to develop and enhance his/her skills and knowledge. Recognizing individual performance and encouraging the continuous development of all of our employees is a priority and therefore in 2005, we extended the annual feedback talks to our non-management staff.

·  Work/life balance: Laboratoires Sérobiologiques helps its employees to achieve a good work/life balance. For example, we organize childcare facilities for employees during working hours.

· No child labor: We are vigorously opposed to child labor. No children under the age of 16 years are employed – a policy which goes beyond the international human rights conventions and the recommendations of the International Labor Organization. This policy is applied especially in countries where there is no national legislation governing the minimum working age, and in many other countries where child labor is rife.

· No forced labor: Another key plank of our philosophy on working conditions is that we are completely opposed to all forms of forced labor. No employee is required to perform work against their will or under duress.

· Appropriate payment: Not only do we always comply with applicable minimum wage legislation; but in fact, we go beyond these, and are committed to paying all our employees a “living wage”.

· No discrimination: We comply with all applicable equal opportunities legislation, and we do not tolerate any form of discrimination against individuals or groups, or any form of harassment.

· Corporate citizenship : We set ourselves the highest ethical standards. Laboratoires Sérobiologiques gets involved in local communities, and provides equipment for educational and cultural initiatives, such as IT equipments for local schools and associations.
